Android

Since Android occupies most of my brain at the moment (sorry Amanda). I figured I needed a separate page for my projects and other findings.

Hi :D I love your android widgets. Do you think you could make another one that matches that says just the temperature outside in the same format as your other two widgets? I would love to have one that matches them. Such and awesome job, thankyou!

Would love to see a weather widget that matches your other 2 apps, will pay!

umm… this may sound too much but is there a possibility you would come up with battstatt n tajm for the iphone? I followed one screenshot with ur widgets right to ur website. im in love with em!!!!

  4. Matt Says:

Can you add some more customization to the app? Like all caps or not all caps. I’m trying to get it to match some other widgets. :)

I would love to see a widget like your others but for signal strength. With that, I could completely disable my notification bar entirely!

I would also pay for a weather widget in the same nice style. These are just too magnificently brilliant that I’ve essentially themed my whole homescreen to these Widgets. The very nice white on black you can do with this is amazing. Of course I can switch it to black on white if the need arises due to the nice options.

Thanks for this! You man consider publishing a donate version. I’d buy you a coffee!

    Hi there,

I love both BattStatt and Tajm – they are permanent fixtures on my home screen!

Any chance you could create a textual weather widget, in the same manner as those above?
    Maybe containing:
    - location
    - current conditions
    - temp extremes

    That would be awesome, thanks.

    Hey

I really like your widgets. A really really cool project in the same theme would be a weather widget – just like all the other ones, but with text only. Then the user can define what’s “warm” and what’s “cold” or other definitins so the ui just says “Warm and Windy” or “Breezy and pisscold”. You get the idea :D It’s of course eminent that the user defines the intervals for themselves.

When I first got my Android device(Evo), I researched some ways to skin it. The first thing that immediately popped were your two widgets and I’ve essentially themed my homescreen around it!

One request though, in an attempt to add functionality could you have Tajm lead to the alarm clock/clock function when pressed on? Would help tremendously as my schedule varies depending on the days of the week and I’m sure others could relate to wanting Tajm to lead somewhere when pressed.

Thanks for sharing your creativity and keep up the good work!

I really like Battstatt. The German translation suffers from “wrong bolding” though – e.g. when it says “THIRTY three percent” in English, it’d say “DREI und dreißig Prozent” in German, but it should say “drei und DREISSIG prozent”, since “dreißig” = “thirty”, not “three”, if you catch my meaning… it emphasises the wrong digit, so to speak. Think there’s any way to “fix” this?

I’ve been using BattStatt Free for 5 months. It was great… I bought BattStatt Pro. From the moment started a widget, my system bogged down and became unstable and unresponsive. As soon as I remove the widget, it goes back to normal. I have a Samsung Epic 4g (Galaxy S). Please help!

    Hi,

I purshased Battstatt Pro , but noticed that whenever I display numbers instead of letters the numbers do not align properly and stay on top of the screen and the percentage symbol overlaps with it. This does not happen with Battstatt free. If I use words it works perfect though. Any help appreciated.

    Hi,

you did a great job on these projects, the stylist is the most i like and used for everyday, will you think to start another project with same theme (tajm and battstatt)? like temperature, weekday etc.

  14. Baldur Says:

    Hi, your projects look great.
I’m having some trouble downloading battstatt in my country, it changed when i got my sgs2. It worked fine on my x10 mini pro.
Can you change the limitations on market?

  15. Widget Weekly Part 6 - Minimalist Clock Extravaganza (Part 2) | AndroidActivist Says:

[...] Tajm came recommended to me by another Android user on the social networks. When I first installed this widget, I almost immediately wanted to uninstall it. There are only three or four basic options with one widget size, 2×1. I can tweak the display color, choose for a background, add the date, or choose between English or Swedish. I then realized that this widget captures the spirit of minimalism. With only a handful of options and one screen size, Tajm actually does a good job of giving 12 hour time effortlessly. Personally I would prefer a couple more options, the ability to change the order of the time text and allow for a 24 hour clock. Overall, this free app is worthy of a place on my phone. [...]
