Samsung fixes

Both versions of BattStatt are updated and should now work on Samsung Galaxy 2.2.1

New releases

BattStatt Pro 1.0.7:

  • “Percent” string should no longer show if battery if fully charged or empty

BattStatt Free 2.0.7:

  • Same fix that was used in Pro version for Samsung Galaxy S 2.2.1 which hopefully will fix the issue here as well.
  • Crazy-old text alignment issue fixed

BattStatt Pro 1.0.4

The day has finally come!

A new version of BattStatt Pro will be available by the time you read this.

This version has loads of new features and stuff.

  • Custom fonts support
    • To use this you have to place you font (.ttf only) in a folden on your sdcard root, called .battstatt. “/sdcard/.battstatt”. Once you’ve done this, your fonts should appear in the font selector in the configuration screen.
  • Revamped configuration UI
    • Custom fonts (explained above)
    • Text shadow
    • Word capitalization modes
    • Word boldification modes
    • Set color per word
    • Set size per word
    • Set custom word offset (in case your custom fonts should place the text weird)
    • Ability to hide the “charging” string if desired.
  • Spanish translation (thanks to Fernando Jimenez)
  • French translation (thanks to Érik Guittière)
  • Norwegian translation (thanks to Kristoffer A Berger)

There are some stuff that I wanted to get in there, but decided to wait with for next version:

  • Display the values of the color picker while adjusting color
  • Be able to set the color manually, i.e. type in the desired value
  • Add similar caps/bold options to action text as with the level text and not just on/off
  • Customize the shadow (color, radius, x and y)
  • Be able to launch a custom app instead of just pre-set options
  • Be able to adjust every word’s offset and not just the whole level string (esp. needed for medium and small widget)

For some reason Samsung Galaxy S owners with Froyo 2.2.1 has problems with the widget, unfortunately I can’t debug it properly since I don’t know anyone with one. If anyone would be willing to add/remove widgets and then send their log, maybe I can figure something out.

That should be it.

Ah, yes, as always, to avoid any update error you should really remove the old widgets before updating, just to be sure.
